I say defense because Drew can work with average talent on offense, but you have to have a strong defense to win championships. I would be ok with drafting almost all defense in this draft.

We have to get another pass rusher opposite of Cam Jordan

Need help on both sides. We were putrid on 3rd down conversions and we still need another pass rusher. AO did fine until he went down and I’m not banking on him returning to the level that he was playing at...plus we may not even bring him back.

Just feel like we should spend money on defense during free agency. If we need to draft a WR or TE in rounds 3-6 no big deal.

We have a frick ton of weapons already on offense. Let’s bolster the defense first through free agency and the draft and if that WR is still there in rounds 3, 4 or 5 then pull the trigger.

We solely need. A slot WR, DT to replace fairly, Pass rusher opposite of Jordan, a LB either middle and move Klein or OLB, a slot corner or just another corner and out Crawley at slot, and SS if we don’t resign Vaccaro. If we get atleast 1 decent or great player at each of those positions I don’t see how we don’t make a run in the next few seasons.

I feel like we could get some decent wr in free agency.

defense, te, and depth on the o-line is what we need.

Defense. Keep building a great defense for a chance of championships now and for a chance to compete post Drew Brees.

We can get all of that through free agency. I wasn’t limiting it too just the draft.

big positive here also is there wouldn't be a rookie learning curve.

if a really good option is there at #27 during the draft, then maybe you go that route but that would depend on if the Saints draft trust thought that said WR was the best available player.

if a good LB or even a D-line option is there I'd guess that's who they'd go with. I know we don't usually pick LB's in the 1st round (Anthony recently) but that's it.

I think you have to go all the way back to Mark Fields in the mid 90's as the last time we've picked a LB that high.

unless a gift falls to us like Lattimore or Cam Jordan, we'll probably pick a player that is way off the Saints Talk radar in Round 1
