What’s happening to the Saint is a good thing.

They’ve been needing to lock themselves in a room and fight it out to decide who they are since Sean Payton and Drew Brees left.
Because they are not nor will they ever be the Sean Payton/Drew Brees Saints.

they came here during the easy years with payton and brees, those two can cover up a lot of bad decision making from the FO.
now they think 9-8 and just being ok is good enough, so they see no urgency to act

Not sure what this means
but I’m referring to the obvious dynamics between two factions of players. Obvious dynamics between coaches and obvious dynamics between players and coaches. On multiple levels. We all know there has been a riff in the Saints organization this season and if finally came to a head with the antics at the end of the Atlanta game.
There a power struggle happening and it needs to happen. To figure out Who the New Orleans Saints are going to be.

sounds to me like the FO is taking DA side vs the whole team saying they need to fire him, so they are gonna fire a good chunk of the team to make a point.

Maybe they need to get rid of a good chunk of the veterans if they think they run the team.
Perhaps this could work out in the Saint favor by presenting opportunities you off load large contracts that they otherwise would be able to move.
I’m no DA fan but players acting like they run the show is always a losing proposition for the players.

Make no mistake about it. This isn’t some veteran plays against Dennis Allen. This is some veteran players against Gayle Benson.

well i agree some players need to go and some need to be reprimanded, shite like that can not be allowed.
but as long as DA is there, its like spitting on a raging forest fire, since the root cause of all of it is DA, so he must go before anything can change.

We’re essentially punting on at least next season, and likely more. I’ve resigned myself to the fact we will continue to suck.
On the bright side, there’s a chance for a light at the end. Allen being fired next year or the year after could line up perfectly for a new hot candidate.
The Bills turning around into a SB contender the past couple of months since Joe Brady took over should give him the full time OC role. Another good year or two and he’ll be a prime young HC candidate right at the time we’re looking.

The Derek Carr era belongs to Dennis Allen. Plain and simple.

Fire everyone.
Trade everyone.
We gotta start new, baws. That's the only way you "start fresh"
