What could have been in the years following the 1985 draft!

If we would have selected Jerry Rice at 15! He was picked at 16! We selected Alvin Toles, a linebacker who lasted 3 years and mainly played special teams!

True, but for the Saints…… they definitely would have been better.

Biggest mistake was selection of Rogers instead of LT in 1981. Would have put that 83’ defense to a whole other level and made the playoffs even with Stabler and pedestrian offense.

In 1979 we took Russell Erxleben two spots ahead of Kellen Winslow. Then in the second round we took Reggie Mathis three spots ahead of Mark Gastineau.
