What are the expectations for Travin Dural moving forward?

Is he expected to contribute or destined to be a career practice squad player?

I think he has solid talent, and can contribute. If he can take the next step, that would eliminate the need for us to address WR in the draft. He can’t do any worse than Coleman and we’ve given him years to get it together.

If he has a NFL future I don't think it will be with us. He needs to find his way to Carolina. He is at least better than Russell Shepard who was a starter for them this year at one point

Carr was on the 53 the whole year. I think he was the one we poached from NE right after final cuts.

As for Dural, he still never fully regained his speed but I can see him maybe eventually filling out a Joe Morgan role (though not as prolific) where he comes up from the PS from time to time depending on the gameplan/injuries.

More likely though we will find another speed guy and move on from him.

He just simply is not the same player he was before that injury. It is just an unfortunate truth.

The landing in the end zone on that play he got hurt looked so painful.

You know you can’t have a “career” on the practice squad right?

Austin Carr was never on the Practice Squad...
really there was 2 players who never was demoted to the Practice Squad even when we needed room on the roster which was fish, Taysom Hill and Austin Carr both was kept on the active roster and was highly touted by there former teams..The 2 players will see a big roll in the future of this team as long as Payton is the coach..

Saints probably need to look elsewhere for WR help.

Carr and Dural both should have their chance next season.
Time to cut ties with Coleman.
Bring back Snead on a 1 year contract.
Address WR in draft in 1st, 3rd or 4th round.
