Listen to what u r saying. It's the nfl trying to expect upward trends, after winning the super bowl no less, is stupid.
You try to make the playoffs and thats it in the regular season.
Writing off a 4-2 Saints team is stupid especially when u just watched a 10-6 wild card packers team win a SB

let me clarify, for those with poor reading comprehension:
i am NOT saying we will lose all the rest of our games
i am NOT saying we are the worst team in the league/division/world/etc.
i am NOT saying Brees sucks
i am NOT saying we won't make the playoffs
i am NOT saying we won't win the division
i AM saying that we have many, serious issues that championship quality teams don't tend to have...
i AM saying that with our defense, we will NOT make it to the Super Bowl
i AM saying that by not making it to the Super Bowl, our season is essentially a waste, due to the fact that our window of opportunity is only about another 4-6 years with a healthy Drew Brees, franchise QB, since we don't know what we will have when he hangs 'em up...
i AM saying that we need to make numerous personnel changes to get back to the Super Bowl level we were at in 2009

you are correct... i am NOT writing them off.... but you would have to agree, that with our defense, as is right now, we do not have the fire power to win a Super Bowl, this season... i just don't know where the blind optimism comes from for some of you.... sorry, but when i see the issues that i see with our D, it's hard to think we can go toe to toe with the Packers in Green Bay in January for a trip to the Super Bowl....
it's just my opinion.... you don't have to agree with it, and i'm not calling anyone any ugly names because ya'll have a differing opinion, so i would appreciate the same respect be given to me....

most fans would probably agree with this assessment as well.... the "downward spiral" comment will surely get the black and gold glasses wearing crowd riled up!!
i pretty much feel like you do.... if you ain't gettin' better, you are gettin' worse in my book, and well, like i said we went from Super Bowl, to 1st round exit, to ?...... but from what we've seen thus far, i can't say that i feel we can compete for a return trip...
