Quite honestly they SHOULD take the rest of the season and scout a potential replacement. Let Dennis depart after the season. They can play it off as a "mutual" decision.

We were 7-5 last year after an embarrassment in Minnesota. Don’t expect any firings until we are well into 10 or 12 games of the season. And maybe not even then.
Remember, Loomis thinks Dennis Allen is Tom Landry and Bill Walsh. And don’t forget the injury excuses too.

The injury excuses are going to keep him around. However, the injuries I put on the training staff and coaches as well. No one is this snake bitten without terrible player management.

Having training camp in that nancy boy cali weather probably has something to do with all the injuries.
