Watson was very good statistically but did not elevate the Texans

They won one playoff game with him and were a playoff team before he got there.
I think people claiming he’s a top 5 QB need to slow their roll. He put up a bunch of garbage stats on a 4-12 team prior to this mess.
He’s a very good QB but to this day hasn't won jack. He also had a ton of talent around him. Houston turned into a complete cluster his last year and last year.

Yes the mental gymnastics starting to make themselves fell better about losing a top 5 QB is incredible. What will be even better is for some reason the Saints do get him and all the complete reversals that will happen.

Not at all. A bad QB in a worse situation in Cleveland took his team to playoff wins.
Burrow did more with less and a shittier starting situation.
Mahomes won in a similar starting situation.
Allen has won more than Watson in a worse situation.
Remind me again what Watson has done besides put up a bunch of stats and one playoff win followed by an epic choke?
