Like seriously, Ingram was considered the better HB in college. This game should motivate him.

dude the problem is the OL not the RB, its not like he is not motivated

I have seen Lacy create extra yards something Ingram is incapable of doing.

As much as everyone's been downing Ingram, it's making me realize he's not the problem. I actually look for him to come in and help us re-establish the run game.

Disagree.
A lot of the Bama folks always talked about how they thought TRich was better than Ingram.
and even after that they talked about how they thought Lacy was better than Trich.
couldn't tell if they were just bragging or being serious.
Lacy runs harder than either of them though.
TRich is definitely the most overrated out of the bunch.

Ingram isn't a great back.
However, there is simply no denying the Saints are horrible run blockers. Nothing can be done about it this year. All we have are rookies of second year players on the bench. Lelito is not ready.

I didnt hear anyone say Lacy was better than Richardson and in college I still don't think so. Having said that, to the OP, why the frick would somebody else doing good "motivate" a player. Just bc they went to same college even though they were at least 3 years apart?

Serious question. Why haven't the Saints released Ingram?

it wasn't said much in 2011 because Richardson was having a remarkable season, while Lacy was still a bit of a question mark who was battling turf toe it was just hard to gauge really how good he was.
However in 2012 there were a good bit who said he was a better rb than even richardson

opinions vary.
I never got into debates about it myself. I do think Lacy is the best one out of the group. I like that he can elude tacklers pretty well seeing how he is a big back.
Ingram has caught a lot of shite and rightfully so but our running game has no consistency to it this year.
No matter who runs the ball.

Are we talking college player or NFL player. Richardson was the best college player out of them even though Ingram won heisman.

I think Lacy was the best in college and now.
just my opinion.
and I've heard others (where I live) say the same thing.
but I would agree that Richardson has the majority in his favor.
Lacy ran behind the most dominant line they had in that era IMO so I get that some might not be impressed.
But like I said, his ability to elude tacklers for a big guy impresses me. To me, he is the most natural runner of the group. He doesn't hesitate as much as the others, he just seems more decisive.

I mean you can't go wrong with either lol. Lacy wasn't as big in college as he is now bc he gained a lot of weight. Believe it or not he was a speed back in high school. Played against him couple times. Richardson in college ran over people, and pretty much did what he wanted all the while splitting time with both other backs. Just a matter of opinion I guess
