Nah not after signing Cook. If we get someone else it should he through the draft at this point.

Yea after further review I’d pass too. Due $7.25MM this year and an unrestricted FA in 2020

Not to mention he had one year that was better than a Fleener year(pre concussion) that was it. Fleener could get you 500-600 yards when healthy.

Rudolph Stats

Best year was about 800 yards. Next best about 600. Never had a double digit TD season (best was 8). Has a sub 10 ypc career, and never had more than 10.4 in any one year.

He's not nearly as amazing as he was made out to be after his 800 yard season.

Dude is more a name based on people needing a FF TE than an actual difference maker.

That sets up perfectly for the Patriots. They will probably give the Vikes a 5th or 6th and then let him walk in a year just to be awarded a 3rd or 4th round compensatory pick.

It's not about what they were making, but what they get on their new contract.

If Rudolph balls out in NE then he could get paid, but if he puts up another 500 yard, 5 td season then they are likely breaking even or improving from a 6th to a 5th at best (if they only give up a 6th).

I guess it depends on what kind of cap they have to absorb that hit.

Interesting to learn that his best season in Minnesota was with Teddy Bridgewater at QB. His other QBs have been Christian Ponder, Matt Cassell, Case Keenum, and overrated as frick Kirk Cousins.

We could get Moreau for much cheaper.

Not saying we should but he could probably have similar production.

Really not getting why everyone wants another TE so bad. We just signed Cook and extended josh hill who has been a great backup for us. Seems like there are way more important positions to be looking at

I think it's just an overreaction to our lack of production from the position over the last few years.
