I worked with a patient that had 13 fractures in his spine and he refused pain meds. Microfractures aren't a HUGE deal, just painful. He didn't take the pain meds because it was a sin to get high...

Why? They are better on your liver than Tylenol. As long as you don't overdose they are really safe. Even opioids like OxyContin are hard to overdose on without crushing them.
