if you want to beat the Saints you run the ball. Then, when you're behind by 7, you run the ball some more. Once your D steps up after half time and gets some pressure on Drew, you run the ball some more. A couple 3 and outs by the Saints O in the 3rd and 4th quarter, and then you run the ball. You never.... EVER throw the ball against our D in the 4th quarter, RUN. THE. BALL!!!

I swear, the plan has been in place since the Rams showed up our run defense. Why has no team in the NFL realized that the only way to beat us, it to run all day long? We cannot stop the run, period. And with 5 starters out, it's even worse.

I'm very, very worried about getting to the playoffs with an unbeaten record. It's bad mojo. I kind of hoped for ATL to take it to us this weekend to get it out of the way. I don't give a rat fart about undefeated, I want the SB, period. Someone is going to figure us out at the wrong time, and we'll get skunked in the playoffs. Tell me I'm wrong.

the biggest misnomer in sports today is that the saints are "easy to run on".

19th in the league in rushing defense. Given up more rushing TD's than everyone, except NYG, OKL STL.

Statistically, we are not good. Were are at best, average. And every game I watch, average to BAD teams run all over us. Our schedule is very, very soft, and yet these bad teams run on us like we're made of jello. I respectfully request that you prove me wrong. And believe me, I truly hope I am.

Other teams can't keep up on the score board by running it only.

I don't know about all of that. But what I do know is that if you want to beat the Saints, you have to put more points on the scoreboard than what the Saints put up when the clock reads 00:00 at the end of the 4th quarter.

It's just the nature of sports. When you have a high-scoring offense you're going to give up a lot of points. It's just one of those things. Time and again this season our defense has come up with stops when needed.

When our offense isn't clicking and the game turns into a slugfest, our D has stepped up as well (Jets, Bills, first Falcons).

This thread is flawed in so many ways.
1. if we would've lost to the Falcons, it wouldn't have corrected the problem you are trying to point out.
2. pay attention to what Greg Williams does to any team we play. Every team that has been successful running against us, did it in the first half. Do you think they just quit doing it, no, Williams took that away with half time adjustments. Teams haven't been able to figure out our half time adjustments. Try looking at the 4th qtr, we shut teams down by both scoring and yardage.
3. If you think losing a game is good, you don't have the mentality to be on the Saints team.
4. Do you actually think your the only brillant mind out there and 13 defensive coordinators don't know shite.
5. YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!

What in the hell does going 16-0 have to do with failing in the playoffs. NOTHING!!! NOTHING AT ALL!!!

Win or lose, after every game, SP and the coaches will go over the same aspects of the game. They don't just shy away from going over the game just because they won. I don't understand how some people can hope for a loss. This franchise has a chance to make history. Just go for it. It's a game!!!

Oh, and, You're Wrong!

Winning breeds winning. Losing breeds losing. A loss will never do any good, whereas a win will allow lead to more confidence and thus, similar, repetitve results.

OPR, are f'n dumb or just like hearing yourself talk? How many yards did Jackson from St.Lou have? How many yards did D.Williams from Carolina have? How many yards did Burner Turner have? shite loads and guess what? THEY LOST! If anything, the games we've stopped the run and let the pass go wild are the games we've come closest to losing? You have ACTUALLY watched a game this year haven't you?

Stop staring at stats and just watch the games. Who cares how many yards we give up in the first half? Saints win. Ballgame. Scoreboard. End of conversation.

Josh, again, I was addressing the author of this thread. Do you have anything to say about his post or do you just lurk around waiting to respond to anything I post? Apparently it's the later because you seem to jump right in every time I have something to say. Did you get to the game in Atl or did you go "camping"? Going to the game this Saturday, or "watching it at a bar". By the way, why don't you just ignore my posts TO OTHER POSTERS and I can ignore yours.Come on man, you must have some comment to this:

I kind of hoped for ATL to take it to us this weekend to get it out of the way.
