He's lightyears better than Cam Newton. First polished QB this defense has faced since week 2. Go for the head, and the body will die.

Because he is a running QB, the hits should be Bounty-ful

You really aren't smart if you think Tyrod Taylor is better than Cam Newton. How many Super Bowls has Tyrod been to? He will be a a test, but we can shut him down.

This year, he is.
In the past, Newton was better.

But Taylor is good, and he never makes mistakes.

Yeah but OP said light years better.

Cam has 300 more passing yds, and the same amount of Passing TDs. Tyrod has 210 yards rushing and 2 rushing TDs to Cams 341 yards rushing and 4 rushing TDs.

Light years is a bit of a stretch. Cam struggled against us, like most people have, but he's played better as of late.

He was better last year. Look at the numbers. You probably haven't seen a lot of Tyrod either. Dude is insanely tough to bring down and can make all the throws. Just plays in a conservative offense.

How is Taylor so much better than Cam if Cam has better stats than Taylor in both passing and rushing?. This doesn't add up.

He doesn't?

Taylor 65.3% 1628 yards, 10 TD 95 rating

Newton 62.3% 1978 yards, 10 TD 78 rating

Tyrod Taylor has been much better than Newton over the last two years, and it isn't even close.

You really don't know the difference between "not close", "light years" and things like that I see.

95 to 78 in QB rating is pretty significant. I think you need to calm down and learn a little bit about statistics.

It was the same deal last year as well

95 to 78 is honestly going from below average to above average when looking at passer rating alone.

Whole picture though, the difference isn't that significant. He's an above average game manager, cam isn't a game manager.

I’ve been saying this. It’s clear that our defense’s biggest weakness right now is a QB scramble. Hundley, Trubisky, even Fitzpatrick tore us up with scrambles. Taylor is the best scrambling QB in the NFL. It’s absolutely their gsmeplan to let him use his feet.

Not hardly he has flashes of being a good QB here and there ,but he is not even in the same class as Cam Newton. He is not a QB that does well when playing from behind and if the Saints jump out on them early and go up 10-14 they should be able to takeover the game and make him have to throw. Stopping McCoy will be the key today.
