They were never blown out. In fact they missed a fg as time expired

People citing the dolphins are retarded because they won on a fluke play as time expired. They didn’t get blown out

Pats were smoked and doubled up in yards by 6-10 Lions last season. Falcons will probably finish with 4 or 5 wins.

Not really much different.

And again, 2009 Saints lost to a 2-12 team.

2018 Pats were blown out by a 6-10 team, so there's that.

Which team?

I don’t follow the Pats.

I honestly don’t know a single person that thought the Saints would lose to this version of the Falcons. Reminds me of the Arizona Cardinals loss a few years ago to their 3rd string QB.

Lions, 26-10. Lions doubled them up in yards. Falcons only had 7 more yards than the Saints today, so you could argue the Lions dominated a good bit more last season than we were today.

I certainly did not think we'd lose, but I have a buddy in 1 of those high stakes pools like the Winner pools but a loser pool. And he saw the Saints had the biggest line, and I begged him not to take the Saints, to go a different route.

I just never feel like we're guaranteed a W over ATL with Matt Ryan.

Yes but if you keep making more and more and more qualifiers, then yes, this loss is the worst loss of all time.

A team has never loss to a 1 loss team not in a close game and not when that blowout loss involved a coach on the other team...and gone on to win the Super Bowl, I agree with you there.

Better than me, I'm not drunk and pissed off.

It's just a really shitty, terrible loss. But that's it. Doesn't mean we're done, probably will make it much more difficult, but we're still in it despite this really shitty, terrible loss.

well... since Strief brought it up...

the 2011 Saints lost to a winless Rams team... the loss dropped the Saints to 5-3

the Saints went on to win the final 8 games of the season that year...

but that loss ultimately played a roll in us losing a 1st round bye and having to go to SF in the divisional round

When you commit a shite ton of stupid penalties that either kill drives or sustain drives for the other team then any team in the league can beat you. This game is not typical of how the Saints have played all season, so to think this will be some sort of trend is ridiculous.
