Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints: It wouldn't be a training camp column without some irrational hype for a rookie receiver. The Saints' second-round pick inspired buzz all offseason and his propensity for fancy grabs has only picked up early in camp.
One beat writer called Thomas "easily the best player in camp so far," which should offend Drew Brees and Cameron Jordan. We don't want to get carried away yet, but Brees must be thrilled with his young trio of Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and Thomas

This should be the best Brees has had to work with in a while. 3 legit WR's and a TE. Our #4 WR will probably be decent to go along with Hill and Hooman. Hopefully our guards can hold up, b/c this offense could be a pain in the arse to deal with.

It's not the NFL training camp unless there's some irrational hype around a Saints player. I've been through this same song and dance the last 4 years now.

I see what you are saying, but he's a 2nd rounder. Usually when a 1st/2nd rounder blows up in camp...it's the real deal. It's happenning with Peat right now...it just took him until year 2. SJB(2nd round) never never blew up in camp b/c he was a complete bust.

I remember when we let Joe Horn walk because of what they saw in Colston. I was like, WTF, who is this guy. If the coaches are excited and talking about this guy I am excited.

Horn was on the team in 2006, but had injury issues.

I think that was Stallworth that we let walk. I see your point though, and it's a good reason to be optimistic.

I actually remember you calling for this pick before the draft. Looks like you may have been right.

yep, fell in love with him early on but was perplexed how we'd end up with him, thought for sure he was going to go mid low 1's when he "shot up the boards" leading up to draft.

You mad bro because Keanu Neal or Debo Jones didn't make that list?

My memory is that Stallworth and Dwight Smith were casualties of not "fitting in" with the new regime. Harper was talking yesterday how torturous that '06 camp was.

Yep but if you recall even in camp Colston was taking the 1st team reps.

Not at all.
I have a feeling that Keanu Neal is gonna be legit this year but we'll see if I'm right. Best part is I don't get irrational from a silly article and over hype my team like the Saints have done recently.

I'd say Cooks seems to be working out just fine.

I didn't know that Saints fans or the organization wrote that article. Secondly, where is anyone over hyping a player? All someone did was post a positive article about a rookie receiver having a good camp. Keep making shite up though.

Jimmy Graham as a receiver wasn't that bad either. And Delvin Breaux hasn't been too shabby so far.

Silly is saying a NFL.com article about a hot player in a camp is silly sillyhead
Posted on 8/1/16 at 2:03 pm to goatmilker
silly is him assuming the article is hyping us up, we were already hyped up and the article is a day late and dollar short.
