It's real simple. The Saints ain't beating Atlanta, so you can go ahead and take that scenerio off the table. Therefore, they will be playing Tampa for a playoff berth on the last game of the season. Winner will be in, loser goes home. I would never in a million years have thought after last season, the Saints would miss the playoffs this year, but they probably will.
This reminds me of some of the "fans" that came out of nowhere at the end of last year

The Saints need to regroup and treat the last 2 games of the regular season as if it were the playoffs already. If you can't win one of two against Atlanta and beat Tampa Bay at home, you need to stay your arse out of the playoffs to begin with. Playoffs start next week...win or wait till "next year ".

why aren't we beating Atlanta?

Because each time Atlanta has the ball, they will get in at least one 3rd and long. And each time they do, Greg Williams will bring an all out blitz, leaving nobody underneath in coverage. And each time that happens, Ryan will calmly sit back and throw the ball to Gonzo or a back out of the backfield and they will precede to turn a 5 yard pass into a 20 yard game because no Saints defender will be near. That's the way it happened the first game against Atlanta and as evidenced by the game today, that's the way it will continue to happen. Sorry to be the one to bring the bad news, but that's the way it is.

You can say whatever you want to and proclaim who the real "fans" are, but that ain't going to change the facts. The game against Tampa will be for the playoffs. The only way it won't be is if somehow Tampa loses to Seattle at Tampa, but I really don't think there's much chance of that. And even then, I don't know because I'm not sure what the tie-breaker scenerio is with Green Bay.

Ha ha, stick your head in the sand if you want. I've been watching this team for a long time, and I can see a meltdown coming from a mile away. The Saints are heading for an epic meltdown and missing the playoffs this season. Sorry if you don't like it, but that's the way it is. And I'm sure some of the anger displayed here is because deep down, long time Saints fans know I'm right.

Amazing how you go from this:

Falcon Fans Already Feeling Confident

Yawn. How soon they forget the turd their team laid in week 1. It's easier said than done to come to New Orleans and win. How often have they done it since Brees and Payton have been in charge? Oh, that's right, 0.

To this, over a 3 point OT loss:

Because of the fact that since the NFL South was formed, the Saints have only swept the Bucs twice. They coulnd't even do it last year at home, with a 17 point lead and needing to win the game to lock up homefield advantage for the playoffs. Now, the Vikings lost and gave the Saints HFA, but that was after the Saints had already blown the Tampa game. But you just go ahead and think there's no way Tamapa can beat New Orleans if you want to.
