Gayle is a gold digger that got the old man to shut his family out. Think she gives a shite about NOLA?

I don't know. She seems pretty entrenched in the local Catholic Church and I believe she has lived a n N.O. her entire life. That's not to say she isn't a gold digger, because she likely is. I just think she's got strong local roots.

Tom Benson was born in N.O., but moved to TX as young man, maybe 28 or 30, and raised his family there. I believe he was still living in TX when he bought the Saints in '85. The majority of his car dealerships and banks were in TX.

Really? If the State of LA ever decides to stop being blackmailed by the Saints and another city dangles a stadium deal, I could definitely see them moving.

So your saying that if LA decides to stop being blackmailed, another city/state has to agree to blackmail to get the Saints. That statement makes no sense. The Saints bring New Orleans and Louisiana a shitload of money, and Saints haven’t been doing too bad either.

We don’t have many choices since Ochsner owns almost all of the hospitals in the area.

Rather have an ownership group with the Mannings, Gayle Benson, and maybe Morris Bart

For fricks sake, give up this pipe dream of the mannings owning any significant part of the Saints. They simply just don’t have the money. The NFL requires 51% ownership from one person and will always favor the offers with significant ownership by one individual.

Unfortunately I have experienced first hand how shitty Ochsner is. It’s kind of hard to not be ranked at the top in the state when you own or are affiliated with the majority of the hospitals in the state.

Reading comprehension isn't your strongpoint.

I didn't say that if LA stopped allowing itself to be blackmailed by the Saints that another city would HAVE TO dangle a stadium deal. I said if LA stopped allowing itself to be blackmailed AND another city dangled a stadium deal, I could see them moving. Do you recognize the difference?

A couple of recent examples that come to mind are the Oakland to Las Vegas Raiders and the San Diego to Los Angeles Chargers. Neither team could get a new stadium out of their host cities, so they moved to a new city where they would get a new stadium, paid for by the new city, state, and/or ownership group.

With the exception of Green Bay, which is owned by shareholders who primarily live in the area, every NFL team's main loyalty is to their bottom line, not their host city. Are you old enough to remember the Baltimore Colts sneaking out of town in the middle of the night? The Saints would move in a heartbeat if another city offered a financial package that was attractive enough to them.

I'm glad the Saints are here and I think they contribute to the city and state, but don't ever take them for granted.

The moment Benson flatlines Rita and her siblings will sue everything and everyone associated with the team, mark my words
