Don't know about 2nd but I love Watson personally. He's definitely top 5 and a franchise QB. I agree with you too I think he fits perfect in the Saints system. The thing is the WRs Brees had he never really had a true superstar. Thomas? I don't even think Graham was as good as billed as you witnessed when he left. Colston I loved him but man he probably never would've caught on anywhere else. He could run good routes and was an outstanding possession guy.

We'd have to give up our studs to get Watson and draft picks. Some contracts are getting too beefy so I'd be okay with a smaller rebuild effort. Brees made the WRs here and I think Watson could do the same.

It’s gonna be a harder division. The only chance I see us winning the South is with Watson.

With cap trouble, and the need of a QB, I would see if Houston is interested in Mike and Armstead

Mike played in 10 quarters this season, we were a top five scoring offense

I can’t see Armstead staying this healthy again

I wouldn’t mind it.

I would rather give up peat who is a (pro bowler)

If Watson comes to NOLA he will be standing behind the best O line he’s ever seen in his life.

I think everyone would

But you have to beat Chicago, Miami, and maybe Minnesota

Well if I’m Watson the saints are the most stable consistent franchise out of that bunch.
With the roster they have they just need a QB tbh.
None better then Watson rn.
I would demand a trade straight to the saints.

Honest question. Does the Saints have the money to sign any of these players in FAcy?

We may have Taysom as our QB for better or for worse for one year at least.

Start with Watson & Stanford and do what it takes.

I think it will be a few years in the wilderness before the Saints get another franchise QB. They are just really hard to obtain.

Hell, before Brees, Jim Everett was in the discussion for best quarterback they had for decades. There are just more Trubisky and Winston types than there are solid pros (let alone elite quarterbacks).

Maybe they try Hill or Winston next year. My hopes for that working out are quite low.

Well Watson they could trade for and get rid of some contracts depending on who.

Other route would be letting players walk to get one of those QBs. So like Lattimore Hendrickson.

We could also get MT13 off our hands as well.

So, trade your worst starting offensive lineman, a diva receiver with an attitude problem and a handful of draft picks for a generational talent QB? This is almost as much of a fantasy as those trade scenarios to get Joe Burrow last draft.

Unfortunately based on the money situation which is very bad, I don’t think they can resign Marcus or Hindrickson anyway.

I think they keep Lattimore and Thomas but cut Jenkins, Murray, Alexander, and Murray. Maybe even Morstead.

Then that might only get them to the cap. That still probably doesn’t give them enough to sign another QB.

I do like the trade for Watson. I would 100% be down for that.
