Must be nice to be a 9ers fan right now. Well managed team.

They could do Peat for $10m if they wanted to as well.

Needs to be either pay cut or june 1 cut/trade, because we cannot push money back on players who are not going to provide something beneficial to the team short/long term.

he is a quality player, but the amount is too much to deal with

*laughs in Cam Jordan*

That has already begun. I do agree that Peat would be the worst example, though. Extending Peat to free up cap room would be devastating long term. We are creating un-cuttable contracts with players who aren't worth the cap hit. Taysom Hill, Mathieu, now Cam. Add in Peat and it's a party

Been trying to bring that up since the Carr rumors started. Everyone assumes we'll have this elite D + Carr and it's like...wait

I wouldn’t even say the D was elite last year, personally.

But the salary cap isn’t real per this board. We obviously don’t want to keep any of our DTs (also per this board).

Maybe not elite, but certainly good...
#9 scoring
#5 total
#8 DVOA

So traditional match advanced

No no it doesn't exist, but when we don't re-sign players the meme is: we don't overpay players.

That seems to be pretty corrected at this point.

Deals are starting to fly in.

As expected, Saints aren't really involved and I don't expect them to be until there are bargains to be had.

The thing is that Onyemata, Tuttle, and Davenport are all likely to be overpaid and none of them were particularly good last year.

But we are dealing with a manpower issue at this point.

Perhaps I'm just a homer, but I feel like we can at least match the dline production with some bargain bin signings and first 2 picks.

Wouldn't be shocked if we drafted 2 linemen this draft. It's a deep one, time to shore up.

My hope is that we can keep davenport reasonably priced, that'll reduce the need from critical to urgent
