What exactly does a cardiac event and recovery have to do with a foot or ankle injury?
They were both at OTA’s. Are you talking about a few days difference and making a gotcha out of it?

I don't think there were many people doubting he would be with the team in the offseason (once he restructured), the question is can he avoid the injury bug (3 different injuries in 3 years) and play more than a handful of games this season. When you look at his contract specifics, he should be motivated to play as much as possible. Potential bonuses:
Receptions ($750,000): $250,000 each for 100, 110, 120
Receiving Yards ($750,000): $250,000 each for 1000, 1150, 1300
Receiving TDs ($250,000): $250,000 for 7
Pro Bowl + Playoffs: $250,000
All-Pro 1st Team: $500,000
Offensive Player of the Year: $1M
NFL MVP: $500,000
Super Bowl MVP: $500,000
Super Bowl Win + 110 catches or 1150 yards: $500,000
An extra $1.5M should be attainable if he plays all 17 games. 110 receptions ($500k), 1150 yards ($500k), 7 TDs ($250k). Has those types of numbers, he should make ProBowl and this team should be playoff bound ($250k)
