The last pick I got stupid about was Morstead.
That lesson taught me to STFU because I don't know what the hell our F.O. really sees in a prospect or why they passed up a prospect. Too few here have learned that lesson, namely chRxis. The Saints F.O. has earned the benefit of the doubt from me on every single pick. This ain't the Rosenbloom or Kuharich era where second-guessing was earned & condoned.
Plus, it serves no purpose to bash a new Saint and say he won't be good. It implies you are wishing he turns out bad simply to serve your narcissistic amateur GM status. I pray every Saints pick turns into a HOF'er, so I am going to look first for the qualities/attributes/skills that might flash the possibility, but I'll usually temper that with some weaknesses of the prospect to be more realistic. But to wish the pick fails actually contradicts your Saintly outrage over a perceived "wasted pick". From the sound of it, I'd think you'd be happy.
Also, bashing a Saint & the F.O. for where a player was picked and how much he makes is extremely short-sighted. In the Big Picture, the Saints will generally add 7 players per year via the Draft and/or add multiple FA's to help upgrade a 53-man roster & will divide up $120 million dollars amongst those players to field that final roster. IDGAF where or how these players were acquired by the F.O. or which one gets more than the other as long as we remain in contention for a Super Bowl.

The problem is the Saints are a good team and good teams stay good by going BPA in the draft rather than reaching for a position of need. So when we come out of the draft not addressing what fans view as holes on the roster they complain. You know what happens when you reach for need? You waste 2 draft picks trading up to draft Al Woods.
Will every BPA pick work out? No. There's probably as many Andy Alleman's as Jahri Evans', but hitting homeruns in the later rounds at about a 50% rate is pretty impressive.

I'm confused, are you trying to compare a fan that disagrees with most things a team does that is also constantly on the brink of the superbowl and winning it once in the past 6 years to a 0-16 team that looks like shite?
Just checking b/c that logic does not compute. The reason flaming the FO looks silly is because they seem to be very capable of handling their job. They have had a few bad picks but every team does. I think people freak out that we havent gotten a superstar early in the draft yet with this regime, but we have gotten a few late which works out even better in the end considering all the 1st rounders were solid at the very least, the worst being maybe ellis outside of a year.
You are entitled to have your opinion and share it, but acting wronged when most of it is disparaging and people call you out on it looks pretty dimwitted.

Yeah kid...we wore the bags on our heads as a symbol of pride an excellence never once voicing our displeasure.
