Not advocating for him to replace Brees but the offense moved pretty good with McCown starting a few weeks ago.

McCown also wasn't running for his life during that game. The O-line was much better

Brees isn't helping his guys by not stepping up in the pocket. Some of these pressures are his fault

Top 10ish in the league. With an improved OL and a legitimate #1 WR, he can be great. He was NFC offensive player of the week last week. Why is this so hard for you people to understand?

Yes I watched. He was mostly pedestrian until the Cowboys had to start pulling players off the street late in the game.

That's the whole point they fail to realize. It's the convenient mouthbreather position to think you're making the hard decisions and no one else is. But the reality is that there are only 10-15 serviceable quarterbacks in the league right now. You can't expect to get the value for Brees in a trade that you would lose. He's got at least 2-3 years of very good play left.

When rebuilding, you can't expect to have a top 10 QB. That's unrealistic.

You think we have a top 15 QB right now? If you do, let me remind you we're about to be 1-4. I'm not blaming Brees for everything, but it doesn't matter if we had Brees in his prime right now. The team around him is inadequate. At this point we should trade Brees and start rebuilding by developing a QB.

We should build a defense and running game to help stay competitive while a young QB develops.

I'll take a 1 for Brees and a 1 for SP.

Time to start building to compete for a SB in 3 or 4 years.

It's time for him to go but not because he sucks or these games really on him. It's because he's being paid what he is and the Saints have so many holes they can't afford a guy like this. You can't win with him at QB you have major problems. Get what value you can for him and start over. We're rebuilding now as it is so it doesn't make sense. The sad thing is if he had good WRs and an o-line nobody would be talking like this right now. They're so terrible it's dragging his play down too. He has no trust in the WRs or line and second guesses every decision. You could put Tom Brady behind this team and it would look just as bad.

I have to agree with this. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, we may be looking at a top 5 pick.

this game and season is reminiscent of Mora's last year here in 1996 and the " we couldn't do diddly poo" game.
