Lost in all the Tom Brady worship last year is how our defense destroyed him. Even in the playoffs it was what 3 picks in a row. If we could have had one of those damn long passes Jameis just threw we have another trophy.

Go to hell Roger Godell

I hated that all the years that the defense let us and brees down in playoffs, the Minnesota miracle, beast mode, whatever that shite with 49ers is called, and when they finally play great is too damn late.

having Chauncey/Jenkins/Marcus Williams will be huge while Lattimore no doubt serves some sort of suspension.

considering Goodell is a count i'm expecting 6 or 8 games.

Crawley is playing better than I expected but can he sustain it?

Honestly, our 4 main defensive coaches are doing damn good.

Allen has been on fire for the last 3-4 years imo, Nielsen might be the best D-Line coach in the league, Hodges (LB coach) has done about as good as you could expect, & Kris Richard looks good so far.

Besides injuries & suspensions...you really can't complain about the defense imo.

Was reading today that there is very little chance prosecutors pursue charges. He had a concealed carry permit, the gun wasn’t obviously stolen (scratched off serial numbers etc), it’s not up to him to do a background check on a seller. Curious to see how the nfl handles that if it’s just completely thrown out.

I think the defense will be fine….but we havent played a game yet, so hard to say. We have played 2 preseason games, 1 against a backup qb and the other against a guy who has never started a regular season game

I hope history doesn't repeat itself - where the Saints have a great year defensively and then drop off.
I don't think so though. Every starter is proven except maybe CB. When Onyemata and Lattimore return, we'll be even better
What I like is that it is an attacking defense, that could cause sacks and eventually short fields for the offense!

Well I agree that the defense let down on the final drive in those playoff games. Lets not forget the fact that Drew Brees and the offense got to very slow starts plus made critical turnovers as well. The Saints was fighting behind the whole way in those games. Not a good position to be in during the playoffs on the road.

It was the defense that held the fort to give the offense a chance to make it a game at the end.

this defense has only faced backup scrubs so far and not a single legit starting QB

i hope they are better but preseason shows you nothing so dont project anything based off of it
