It was at the end of a play, but loved when Turley ripped that cats helmet off.

Brees was just beginning as a Saint wasn't he? Or was it 2005? 3:00 in the morning and I can't remember but I wonder what the conception of him was.

What about the Jacksonville game in 2003? Just kidding. That was an amazing play despite the missed PAT by Carney.

Does anyone have a link to Jim Henderson's call to the Gleason block from the MNF post katrina game against the falcons?

I was actually in ATL at the time and I was just thinking that I don't think I've ever heard it.

or does anyone remember what he said?

Damn exciting--indeed. In the top 3, no way. In all of those, fans had yet to endure the saints. AT least in my opinion and for me
Were you around for any of those plays? If not, you really have no way of understanding how much they meant to Saints fans at the time.

True, but it's not just because it's recent.

We've obviously enjoyed our most success in our history in the last 4 years or so.

I'm sure the Dempsey kick and our 1st KR TD were badass and very meaningful and belong on a top 5-10 list without question.

But the 4 posted originally were pretty legit.

1 wrapped up our 1st ever playoff berth.

1 wrapped up our 1st SB berth.

1 wrapped up our 1st SB victory.

And the other kinda goes without saying as to why it was important, though it wasn't about a win or loss per se.

It is a pretty legit top 4 and hard to leave any of those plays off the list.
I hear you. And all of those plays would be on my top 10 Saints list of all time.

Are we talking about most exciting plays or most significant plays?

My top 10 list would have Porter's interception return for a TD at #1.

#2 would be Garrett's FG to put us in the Super Bowl.

#3 would be Dempsey's FG.

#4-8, in no particular order, would be the onside kick to open the second half of the Super Bowl, Gleason's blocked punt, Hakim's drop, Manning's bootleg TD in his first pro start, Gilliam's 94 yd TD return on the first play in Saints history.

#9-10 I'll have to give some thought to. I'm heading out the door right now.

People don't appreciate it but Dempsey's FG.

1. Porter's Int
2. Hartley kick in OT
3. Hakim drops the ball
4. Gleason block

Being in my 30's I would have to agree with this list. But somewhere you would have to include Dempsey's kick. I would also include Deuce's 3rd down run against the Eagles in the playoffs to secure the win.

I was pondering this early today for some reason and I re-watched all of the clips. I have to say that Hakim drops the ball as a single play was the most exciting play in MY Saints history. Especially since I was at work, freezing my arse off in the meat department, huddled around a radio and could only hear the Jim Henderson call.

1. Porter's Int

Which one? I think the one against the Vikings was more important

For me:

1) Porter's INT of Manning
2) Porter's INT of Favre
3) Morestead's Ambush onside kick
4) Hakim drops the ball
5) Gleason's block against Falcons

I'd say it's a great list for the most exciting Saints plays of the last decade.

I hear what you're saying, but the last decade is the most exciting decade for the Saints. There is really only a couple of plays pre-2000 that could be thrown in the argument, but they don't have near the significance, in my opinion, than the plays listed.
