re: The “we can get a RB in the mid/late rounds” myth

As others have said we aren’t using a first round pick on a RB, instead we’re signing a former first round pick to his second contract, which has worked out pretty well recently. Eagles getting Barkley won them a Super Bowl. Niners have been built around McCaffrey (former 8th overall pick) the last few years. Bucs won a super bowl with Fournette on his second team.
But even teams drafting RBs in the first round has worked out pretty well in recent memory. Lions have been pretty damn good and took Gibbs very early. Rams built their first Super Bowl appearing team under McVay around Gurley who was drafted tenth overall. Cowboys were a perennial top 6-8 team with Zeke.
Chiefs won two super bowls after using a first round pick on a RB (who ended up being kind of a bust).

You have the same amount of superbowl rings as all of them combined.

its less than the price of the RB franchise tag. Is it really "elite" money?

I know a few years ago I was pretty adamant about drafting Achane instead of Miller. It’s worked out well for the dolphins.
How so?
how many playoff wins have they had since then?
how many division titles?

I actually did not catch that.
Looks like he'll be tied for 5th until the draft happens, then will drop to 6th, assuming Love goes top 15.
Saquan - $36M guaranteed
Jeanty - $35.9M
Walker - $28.7M
Henry - $25M
McCaffrey & Etienne - $24M
*Could technically be 7th if Atlanta exercise the 5th year option on Bijan. His $22M fully guaranteed rookie contract would jump up to $33.4M - they'd be foolish not to do it and have Bijan 1 more year at $11.4M
NOSHAU: Your point still stands; I just found that interesting because I did not realize his guarantees were that high, compared to his position

It sure seems word got to us and KC that Love was going to be gone cause both sure pulled a quick trigger on FA rbs lol
I feel good about the room with or without AK. Do hope we look for a pure speed back in the draft. Ty on highlights looks average as far as speed goes.
