I don’t like it with Dallas because I don’t think there’s a shot in hell they give 20 to go to 8.

And they don’t have a 2 this year. If they give us a 1 next year, I would do it

Yep. Would love something like this. We still have so many gaps to fill, and this years seems like there's a huge dropoff from the top 3-5 guys and the rest. Another year of getting younger and cheaper would be excellent for the franchise.

Could also get you Loane/ Thieneman and still go WR #42.

Bain may even be available at #12. There's a realistic possibility you have WR at #9/ #10/ #11.

#6: OL
#7/#8: Delane/ Downs
Chiefs: Tate #9
Giants: Tyson #10
Dolphins: Lemon #11

I don’t think we’re keeping 42 if we end up with 12/20

On all the value charts I’m seeing even if we gave 8 and 42 for 12/20 we’re still “winning” by 200 points. Obviously that would be reasonable depending on players. It’s not really close value wise without 42 being included and you’d think Dallas would have to be enamored with someone to give up 20 to move 4 spots

We have a weak schedule, upgraded in FA, and are about to grab some studs in the draft. I just don't think our floor is worse than 7-10 at absolute worst next year. I'd rather give up our 2nd and 3rd next year > #42 this year. If those picks are closer to #53/ #80 then the value of keeping #42 is still higher.

You think Dallas is going to give up number 20 for a 2nd and 3rd NEXT year all to move from 12 to 8?

I’m gonna need some of those black and gold glasses as mine aren’t that clear.

I don't think we do anything with #8. I 100% think we have trade up options to get back into the 2nd/ 3rd and early 4ths.

These assets should get you into the #70-110 range.

#132
#136
#150

Do you think Dallas values #20 higher than the player they are dead set on trading up for?

You are confused about who has the leverage here. If Dallas wants that player and WE are on the clock then they either make the trade or don't get the player.

If they don't like the offer then we simply don't do it. We have all the leverage.

If they don't give us #20 while keeping #42 then I don't think any of this happens. It doesnt matter what they will/ won't do, it only matters what we will/ won't accept.

I’m not confused about anything this is all fabricated and isn’t going to happen for those values in reality. You can craft any story in your mind that you’d like.

It takes two teams to tango hoss.

Yeah that's exactly what I just said.

The story I crafted was exactly what you said you weren't confused about and then agreed with. So i think you are confused.

Doesn't apply here. It takes 1 team to have leverage and the decision to accept or decline. We simply don't accept at #42 and only do it with '27 picks or 73.

I never said Dallas would for sure trade #12/#20 for #8 + anything other than #42. I said if Dallas isn't willing to take #8 without #42 then its not happening.

We were in agreement. You are arguing value and I'm arguing cost.

The value of a pencil may be $1. If that pencil is only offered for a cost of $5 then the value of $1 doesn't matter in regards to the deal. How much do they like the pencil? That's what matters. If Dallas thinks that guy is the difference maker, they do it. If they don't then it never happens.
