He's a good player, but in the end the Saints will have likely given up a top 5 pick to get him, which is just far too much when that pick would have almost certainly netted them an elite QB prospect.

I mean, technically we got an extra first in 2022, so it’s more that we likely traded a top 5 pick this year for a number 11 pick last year plus all the others.

Biggest thing was the 2nd and two 3rds. That was the bigger cost.

The first just hurts this year because it looks top 5 and they need a franchise QB.

No they didn’t. They saints netted and extra pick and they just swapped positions on the other set
