The problem with firing Dennis Allen is that it doesn’t address all the real incompetence

Look at like this, you neighbors hire a house painter and they have to fire him as he does a terrible job. Then a friend hires him and same results. So next thing you know your wife wants to hire him despite knowing this. You hire him and predictably he does a shitty job.
Whose fault is it then? It’s the exact identical situation with the Dennis Allen being hired as coach

He’s a good start. In game and end game decisions are brutal. Three losses in the final minutes from total ineptitude and a total lack of situational awareness.

No. Not gonna act like the front office has hit home runs on trades and signings lately but there's clearly enough talent for a decent coaching staff to create a comfortable playoff team.

You are 100% correct

Look at it like this, this same exact front office did much better with Sean Payton as coach than under Dennis Allen. Great coaches can elevate the front office as having a great mind in the room can lift everyone up. This organization hired Payton and they can hire a better coach than Allen.

It will never happen but Loomis on down needs to go, maybe keep Ireland and give him the keys to the franchise. Start fresh. But who would want to inherit a team that's $75 million over the cap next year. Your hands are tied with those numbers and bad contracts. Burn it all down and rebuild with a new coach and money to build a new team. A few years later it would be worth it if done right.

I don’t know if they ever will, but we need to reset. Get the cap clean and rebuild through the draft. The Brees / Payton era is over and we need to move on.

They need to hit it big in the draft and get a QB. It seems the NFL is getting the dual threat QBs like Hurts, AR, etc. Not the typical drop back passer.

There's this dude he plays for LSU and everyone thinks he'll be around when Saints pick.
