Would acquiring mettenberger from the titans after they draft Mariota be a bad deal for us? What would we need to give to get him ?

I think teams would gauge his trade value for sure if the Titans took Mariota. But Mett played decent on an awful team. I don't see them giving up on him yet. Give up Mariota for 3 first round picks and build the team up.

The Titans think he's their future QB so he's not getting traded.

I think Cleveland takes a shot at #2 if Mariota is there. I don't see them taking him and dumping Mett.

Surprised it has taken this long for the LSU loonies to infect us with this.

We would need to give up a literal farm with pigs, chickens and cows. Plus both our firsts and allow the Titans GM to give Loomis an enima.

Serious question. If we chose not to draft him with any of our picks in round 1-5, why in the coitus would we trade away any of our picks this year for him? Get out of here with your nonsense

Cleveland already drafted a QB in the 1st round last year. You don't draft another QB the next year. Titans want to see how much teams are willing to pay for the #2 using Cleveland's picks is a good starting point

The Titans said at the end of the season last year that Mettenberger could potentially be the QB of the future. Don't see how their opinion has changed since.

I don't like Mett in our offense.

Agreed. Manziel has no bearing on what they do in the draft this year. The pick you gave up for him is a sunk cost, and it shouldn't handicap you from improving your roster at any position, including QB, this year.

IF Tennessee took Mariota it would be worth looking into IF he could be acquired for cheap. They drafted him in the 6th so it's worth a phone call.

Of course the LSU haters and the cool kids that try too hard to show how unbiased they are will hate you for suggesting it...

Have you not seen the report that Cleveland has offered #12 and #19 for #2? If not Mariota, then who do they want at #2?

God I don't see what the scouts love so much about Mariota. He has bust written all over him...hardcore bust. Just another Oregon QB that looked great in their system. At least with Winston you see true gifts from him when he plays the game he's just stupid. Winston reminds me of sCam Newton. A lot of gifts but immature. If he grows up he'll be good. Mariota...I don't see it. I've seen a lot of QBs the past 10 years at Oregon that looked good that never went to the NFL as a high pick. I honestly don't see what separates him from those others in that system.

I hope the Bucs draft Mariota so we don't have to worry about dealing with a QB.

Actually, its been reported that he's impressed in the film room. We'll just need to see what kind of character/work ethic he has once he's handed a couple million bucs.

I'm not talking about that kind of stupid I'm talking about his character issues.

Maybe we can get Matt Flynn to be our 3rd QB too!

I think some like to think he will be another Russell Wilson.
