To a 1-year, $4M deal
Full disclosure, it may break the bank if he hits all his incentives at $8.5M total.
Baker sucks, but with how shitty our offense is, I think he may actually be better than Carr for us b/c he can make plays when the play breaks down (which for our offense is 75% of our passing plays) and can run for 1st downs. It really is amazing when you think about it how bad our offense is.

Carr isn't an amazing QB, but I think he is not a primary problem.
Pete Carmichael is just not up to this job.

Carr's production has been incomprehensibly bad.
We ran this same offense last year (with less talent at WR) and did better with Andy Dalton. It's not like we have QB play to compare Carr to.

I'm not saying Carr has been good, but I have been reading some breakdowns and a lot of people are talking about how poorly Pete adjusts as the game goes on, and now as the season has gone on.
Once teams adjust he is terrible.

After seeing some breakdowns this morning it is apparent to me that carmichael is the primary problem.
Carr could still be a problem, but Pete is the primary issue.

Oh I'm not saying Carmichael is doing well.
My larger point was that all of the "we need a QB and we'll be the clear favorite in the NFC South and then who knows?" rhetoric after we sunk our future on Carr was silly, and was pointed out in real time as being silly.
