If you’re a competitor, how could you not want to go play for your home state?
Especially if they’re terrible and you could be the one to make them relevant again?
How could you not want to prove everyone in that state, after your national championship, that you were, and are, the real fricking deal?
The Bengals better draft his arse is all I’m sayin and let him do his thing.

He literally said he doesn’t care who he plays for. Whoever wants to pay him.
Of course he said that the draft process hasn't even started yet. Not to mention I think he hired his agent about 3 weeks earlier. Burrow isn't the guy who would publicly talk about it anyway.
Don't forget the Bengals are such a bad organization that Carson Palmer sat out a year to get away from them. Not a single talking head/former player has said one good thing about the Bengals as an organization.

He will do the minimum allowable by the league to stay inside the competitive balance lines.
This usually translates into mediocrity, although they did have a string of 5 straight playoff appearances (all losses) recently.
I hope for Burrow’s sake that he can quietly force a trade or that some other better team simply trades up to get him.
