I think last year was going to be bad for any QB with our WR core and Kamara missing so much time. The 10 on 11 is what makes the "wild cat" type play work like Ricky Williams did with the Dolphins. Having Taysom, who can throw, makes it so hard to defend. People look at his toughness and speed and many don't appreciate his vision to hit the holes also. It's remarkable to have a player like him on our roster. Question is, how long does his body hold up?
I'm glad we paid him well, imo, he deserved it. Dude is a QB, wants to be a QB, but does all that other stuff to help the team win. We won last week because of Taysom Hill. He's had so many games like that, and he turns the tide when everything is going to shite. He can have some unfortunate fumbles at times, but other than that, probably my favorite Saint ever. Hell, I'm in my mid 40s and still tell myself the Dome Patrol crew, and Deuce McAllister, Brees, were my favorites, but hard to beat out Taysom, just love his style of play.
