I moved to LA in 86 and still work here but i will be back when i retire.
If i was anywhere near Nola i would have several season tickets. If there was one game i would not miss it would be against the useless atl failcons

You guys now have no idea the pain of people laughing at you as a Saint fan when the bags were out and we were the "Aints".
Yes we do, it's called the Brooks/Haslet era. Try living in Acadiana at the time when Jake Delhomme is going to championships and Brooks is throwing backwards passes.

I'm with you . The entitled pussies are hard to take sometimes.

LOL if you think that was the "Aints" paper bag era.

I have been a Saints fan from the very first exhibition game where i was selling peanuts at Tulane stadium and witnessed Gilliam running back the opening kickoff 96 yds for a touchdown against the Rams.

Ok a few drafts went south and a few key players are hurt, this is not our darkest hour. The coaches won't be fired and Brees will retire on his own terms. Take a deep breath, close your eyes and remember the feeling when Tracy Porter was heading for the endzone. You need to bring that back to the players because that is the only thing that separates teams, the fans! I will cheer these guys no matter what the record because without the cheers and support they are doomed, no matter how talented. Have faith, be a Saint !!

and he never will.
OP i agree, but i have not been a fan as long. i became a fan growing up on the coast in the mid 80's, and have been a fan ever since. win or lose, i stand by the Saints - sure loses suck, but it is not the end of the world, and outside of it being entertainment, it does not affect my daily life.
some people need a fresh dose of perspective.

I'll join the old timers club as I started with the 1967 preseason games. Unfortunately, I didn't make the first game in Tulane Stadium, but I did watch it on TV, or listened to it on the radio. It's been so long, I don't remember which.
My military and professional careers took me away from New Orleans since my graduation from LSU back in '69.I am happy to say, after a 45 year absence, last summer we moved back to my old Lakeview neighborhood.
It's good to be home and be able to watch the Saints and Tigers on local TV.
