Limited snaps don't paint a complete picture. I have high hopes for him (not so much for galette) but he's not a producer. We don't have one reliable pass rusher

Obviously multiple teams thought Jones wasn't a reliable pass rusher at the next level. The Saints can still add to that position later in the draft.

Jones was never going to be the pick at 15.

Pure LSU bias

49ers could have staid put and gotten Reid

I agree. We had Rant Lite here last night.

No one is saying that but is hilarious that guys that only pull for the Saints think that makes them better judges of NFL talent. Keep hatin on LSU it's what you guys do best.

Sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree. Steelers ran to the podium to take Jones.

Pass rusher is not a position you can just say, oh hey let me grab one in the later rounds and I'll be good. You know what position you could do that for? Safety

vaccaro is a better fit, I'm really happy with this pick.

Reid is a beast and the 49'rs wanted a violent run stopper.

everybody wins

Why not? There's multiple guys in the NFL who had 10+ sacks last year that were drafted 3rd round or later. Jones isn't a can't miss player, he's slow and was pretty bad against the run.

Higher than 15th. With the majority having much better measurable than Jones.

If you believe shite on the rant I got diamond mines in Port Sulphur I wanna sell you. Eric Reid is a solid football player and has proven it at LSU. What idiots say don't matter. The kid pressed to hard last season tryin to become what Tyrann Mathieu was to LSU and his play suffered because of it. San Francisco has a solid player and they know it.

Obviously the Saints front office know more than the 49ers front office when it comes to judging defensive talent.

I remember the rant echoing that Reid needed another year to work on his weaknesses.

"He was our top-rated safety," Harbaugh said. "This was Option A."

I don't need a link to show the only other team that wanted to go safety were the Ravens (after the 49ers and Saints) and supposedly the Cowboys and Steelers wanted Vacarro as well.

But Reid went played for LSU and therefore is better. Saints Rant logic.

What about Steelers front office? They had Vaccaro ranked as the #1 safety.
