Start the rebuild: Fire DA and hire Shane Steichen

Steichen has mentored now two young quarterbacks. He was the OC and QB coach for Herbert and the Chargers before Lombardi got over there and fricked up their offense. Now he’s got Hurts looking great and the Eagles offense as one of the best in the league right now.
Give him 2-3 years for us to get out of cap hell and get the draft capital to find the next QB and have him develop under Steichen. This is the smart thing to do but Loomis hasn’t been smart in a long, long time.

What coach in their right mind would take a job here next year with a guarantee at a losing season and having no draft pick year one, not to mention the cap hell we're in for the next 3 years? No one worth a shite. Ride with Allen 'til mid next year then discuss. This is the pile of shite Saints fans are left with due to the win now culture that was adopted for 15 years. It's a shame we only got 1 SB out of this, but lets be honest; if the NFL didn't blatantly interfere in keeping the Saints out during the Rams fiasco we'd likely have had a second one.
Also the regular season since the 2016 draft was absolutely amazing to watch; this was the winningest franchise during the regular season during that timespan. Be glad we were contenders for 10 of the 15 years that Payton was here; that's what the win now culture bought us.
