The full numbers aren’t out yet, but Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the total value is $137.5 million, which would make it just a bit better than the five-year, $135 million deal Matthew Stafford got from the Lions last year. At $27.5 million a year it’s the biggest per-year average on a long-term contract in NFL history, although there’s no word on how much of that money is guaranteed.

Need to get a punishing RB in that time. It's not Carlos Hyde.

Hyde-Breida backfield can easily combine for 1500/800.

What they need is a better OL and WR/TEs.

They won 5 games to close the season, beating the Jags along the way. They're going to be a dangerous team next season and could get back to contending within a few years.

It could have been Barkley if Jimmy didnt go frick it up and win all his games at the end.

i could very well see this happening.

I could also see Guice dominating his drills, pro day, etc, etc and putting himself in the position to be an obvious lock to San Fran. Guice is a freak and will make his case in drills now that he is healthy.

I honestly would put rb as the 2nd to last thing on their offensive needs list.

I think guice is going to be really good, but I don't think he's far away better than Hyde that it's worth it. They also invested a 2nd into Hyde iirc

Big risk for the money. 7 TDs and 5 Ints in the last 5 games. When defensive coordinators get enough tape on him, let's see what happens.
