I agree, Wilson looked as good (or better) than Rattler last night……and he had NO protection from the 3rd team OL. Quick pressure and he still made some nice throws and good decisions.
Neither are great options……but Wilson definitely has the higher ceiling. He also isn’t going to play scared. Rattler didn’t look bad last night by any means, he made some nice throws.
The problem is that if you need the backup to come in and win a game, Rattler can’t do that. He can ONLY slowly matriculate the ball down the field.
That being said, I think Kellen will probably end up keeping all 3 with Rattler the 2 (not that I agree with it). I would rather have Wilson as the backup, and stash Deckers (or Rattler) on the PS……and use that roster spot on an actual need.
