Define efficiency.

Drew has more yards, more completions, more accurate passes, and 1 less touchdown.

Reports say that Rodgers is using this bye week to study film on Brees.

Also, none of your arguements matter because of that mind numbingly stupid assed NE Tight End coment you made.

Sorry, I'm not a Patriots fan and didn't know Gronkowski got the TE record today, I saw Graham set the reccord, didn't watch any highlights so was unaware Gronk broke a few minutes later, guess that means I know nothing hun

but you guys total missed the point anyway. Having another player set a record on the QB's team doesn't in and of it self mean the QB was more valuable. I should have used the word could in the TE example. You COULD have 2 great players splitting catches and there fore they are less likely to set a record. In other words, having team mates set records is immaterial in the discussion of which QB is better, had the better season or deserves the MVP, which ever you choose to argue.

This is the kind of thing I was talking about earlier with the intro level stats comment...

Yards per attempt.

TD%

INT%

Instead of just seeing 46 TD passes to 45, I see Rodgers throwing a TD 9.2% of the time to Brees's 6.6% of the time(I believe that was going into today).

So yea, brees had 1 more TD pass, but what do you think is more significant or more indicative of better/efficient performance?

Like you casting assumptions on everyone who supported Brees for MVP you didn't think Rodgers was great.

Nope, you flat out said, more than once that Rodgers was very good, while Brees was great, that's not me making assumptions.

Wow. 1 less touchdown in 1 more game. Lower yards per attempt. Lower QB rating. Less wins. 7 more turnovers. 1 less MVP.

For what? To learn how to turn the ball over more?

My argument pertained to the argument between Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, the top 2 candiadates for MVP. Peyton Manning not in the argument and as someone else pointed out, not playing.

fair enough.

saying Brees means more to his team than Rodgers is just as meaningless. Its an opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

But somehow, you're not a true Saints fan if you think Rodgers should win it because Brees was "clearly" better.

As far as overall counting statistics and averages, both QBs are in the top five and top three in many categories. That's part of why this should be a close race even though it probably won't be.

I'm not. Drew deserves the MVP award. Him and Rodgers are very close in stats and efficiency. So it should come down to who is more valuable. I believe Drew is.

I'm guessing those of you who say Rodgers should get MVP over Brees just don't want to get your hopes up for the latter and be disappointed.

Just look at the numbers...I don't care that one guy's team has all of 2 more wins, and one guy has a slightly better TD% and a few less TOs. Brees just put together the BEST overall year by a quarterback...EVER! He broke numerous records including the long hallowed Marino record. And he ended up within probably 1 game of the TD pass record too. That is absolute insanity.

In no way am I saying Rodgers is not great or undeserving, but the fact is at the very minimum these 2 are dead even and should be co-MVP. If not, it should go to the guy that has all the records. Similar to the Heisman, this thing has turned into a team award more years than not though it shouldn't.

The Packers finished with the best record yes, but based on the last few weeks I think most football fans would say the Saints are playing the best going into the playoffs so the better team argument is objective.

No. I'm a Saints fan who strives to be as unbiased as possible, and while i hope Brees gets it, I think Rodgers is most deserving.

Those are kind of important things you don't care about.

Well it's a lot easier to say that when not caring about stats that don't support Brees lol.
