Was Vick a locker room cancer with the Falcons? I don't seem to remember him being so. A guy like Pacman, on the other hand...

No. Quite the contrary, actually. He was known to be a great locker room presence.

He's a good football player. He's a good person who was made an example by the media and the courts, more for his celebrity than for any real transgressions.

He just killed some fricking dogs. DOGS. Who really gives a shite outside of Peta and the eco-nazis? Some of you act like he's Pac-Man or Plaxico.

Not me, buddy. That's why I raised the question. Vick is getting the "untouchable" rap because of what you stated and the attention the team that signs him will get. But as far as football ability and presence, he's getting lumped in with the wrong type of players.

I'd sign a roster full of Vick's over 1 Pacman.

Just think about having Brees, Vick and Reggie in the game at the same time.

For what?

What would we do in this situation?

I'd rather see Moore run a 7 yard slant and get tackled right after the catch than watch Vick and Bush run looping circles in the backfield.

On goalline situations, I'd rather see a jump ball to Colston than a bootleg by Vick and watch him run with the ball in one hand being held at waist level.

You take Vick...I'll keep the QB/WR combo that has produced nearly 5,000 yards and 30TD's for the past three years

many of which are meaningless garbage time stats...

I'd take Vick in a heartbeat just not at QB

Not ANOTHER Vick thread.... this is getting old, even ESPN isn't talking about Vick much these days...

Give it a rest, and say "NO!" to Vick.

Payton said that we're not pursuing him, so that's not an issue.

If it were an issue, there's no reason not to have another playmaker. However, I don't want the ball out of Drew's hands unless he's handing it off or throwing it to someone.

Vick will probably play in the UFL or CFL for a season so that teams can see if he can still play. In 2010, a team that needs a QB may take a shot at him.

If that doesn't happen--if he plays in the NFL in 2009--I could see him in a place like St. Louis and maybe, just maybe, Minnesota. Both would be scary, as Vick and Jackson or Peterson in the same backfield should terrify a defense.

And people need to drop their self-righteousness about the dude. He served his time. Let it go. He's not going to backslide if he gets a second chance.

wrong he's not like he was before he was in jail. he probly gained alot of weight and he wont be a dynamic player like he was not saying that he won't contribute to his team. and why would peterson or jackson with vick in the backfield be scary what are gonna do run the option no. the rams probly will stick with bulger. tavris jackson is basically the type of qb as vick scambling so what would they do with vick let him run in circles no. so i dont see any of those teams signing him unless miami does for the wild dolphin or whatever they call it lol

Because you've seen Vick in a physical, which is why you can make that evaluation.

Obviously, if he were to sign with someone this year, they would do so if they knew that he was very close to what he was a few years ago.

This is why I think that he'll play in the CFL or UFL for at least a season. If he shows that he can still play, someone will pick him up.

If you could get him cheap I would take him as a RB and to run the wildcat and back up QB.

Bress lateral to vick who could run or throw. another offensive weapon.

I think we should get Vick, Pacman Jones, and Ocho Cinco. We would dominate!

If we're throwing a pass, I want Brees throwing it.

If we're running it, I want either Reggie, Pierre, Devery, or Meachem doing the running.
