Because he called the play, it was not a read.

It absolutely is. If there's a safety over the top (there was) olave sits down. Shough misread it.

He had 4 total TD’s over his last 5 games. If this is considered “good ball” for him, I’d hate to see when he struggles.

Even with that bad stretch we averaged more ppg with him at qb. Keep trying

Really

Yes really. The safety was playing center field and didn't even try to run to the ball at top speed because he didn't have to. He already saw the wr stopped his route.

focus on the QB on that play. You think he was looking for a second read?

They're essentially the same numbers as Spencer's prorated numbers. Everyone wants to forget he was playing pretty good ball, then wanted to jump ship over two bad games.

I’ve always argued both were playing well in preseason and neither were doing bad in respective progress.

The read is the safety. If the safety is playing zone or quarters, olave is open on the comeback, if hes in man shough goes over the top. Olave saw the safety in zone and made the correct decision. Shough did not. If olave doesn't see it and keeps running the safety is in position to easily help over the top.

It's literally all I've been trying to say. Spencer was clearly pressing his last two games but was top 15 in a lot of qb metrics and top 10 in some. The whole Spencer is trash bullshite is what I cannot and will not let slide.

He looked off the safety to freeze him for a sec.
The play was there is he would have ran it.

ok

Each have positive attributes.‘I think Shough has a bit of a higher ceiling per se of his passing ability. He’s tall, athletic, good personality, I think he’s a complete package if he can get comfortable w Moore’s system and gets more weapons which any qb would need. Our OL has held back this team the most this year.

Lol it didn't work. The safety was jogging and 5 yards from the pic. He was in position. The play would not have worked.

But you seem not to admit, based on that video, that TS called a play and CO did not run it, and it resulted in an interception

What might have happened with the safety is irrelevant

and

I don't think he was in a position on that angle.

I haven’t said that. He’s a game manager in a spot where that doesn’t fit. He would’ve been great for say the 2021-22 Saints. He’s likely better than two starters in our division.

If he comes to camp next year and beats out Shough and looks awesome, I would be perfectly fine with that. You should try not tethering yourself to online takes. I know you’re sitting there on Sundays ready to “be right” which is incredibly lame.

It's not irrelevant. It's a choice route. They're both supposed to read the safety. Olave made the correct read. Shough didn't.

He stopped running when olave stopped. That's why

Not everything is about you. You're initial bullshite was about race when we initially started this whole damn thing.

Which he did this year.

You should try reading more. I've said multiple times shough has looked good in spots and I hope he keeps improving, because his current play isn't enough. We need more if we're going to be a top nfl team.

Now you're just projecting. He played bad against Miami and I said nothing. He played bad against Atlanta, I started a thread and you came limping in making it about anything but football. Grow up

Why do you think that? You believe the edge receiver has more than one play and can choose what to call based on the safety?

I would think you need to call an audible at the line prior to the play for that to happen.

Also, it's mostly a call by the QB
