Why did Drew last so long?
he was short with an average arm and came from a non-traditional offense (at the time the spread was pretty rare in CFB)

Why did Tom Brady last so long?
arm strength and a long windup

Sure some players throw up red flags, but those red flags don't necessarily mean a lack of success in the NFL.
but i'm not talking about individuals really
why don't safeties go high often? or guards/centers?
why did so many mediocre QBs go high this year? why do pass rushers always go high?

You asked why he last that long, so I just gave my opinion. I always see players get bashed or taken lower than they should because of certain reasons, then they become big time players, like the ones I mentioned.

Each draft class is different. WR classes, QB classes, etc.
This one just happened to be one of the better DL classes.
I'm still shocked at the QB run.

you really think RB is comparable to these positions over the years?
let me guess, TE's too?

QBs are gaining more value by the milisecond in today's NFL
QBs were devalued for a bit
brady was quite average in his first run. dilfer won a super bowl. big ben sucked his rookie year and won it. eli manning wasn't a great QB. brad johnson won 1.
that's like half the super bowls the past 10 years

I really don't agree with this. Just because a few average qb's won doesn't mean the rest of the NFL was devaluing the position. Too many qb's were getting drafted high in the past 10 years for me to believe that.

i'm saying RBs are trending that way
lots of supply which has led to lots of RBBCs and stockpiling RBs
also, the NFL is a copycat league, and teh better teams are doing it without great #1 RBs
the pats had a great RB for like 2 years of their run (only 1 of their titles). the colts haven't had a great RB since edge and are still around the top most years. the saints and packers won the last 2 SBs without great individual RBs
the steelers have mendenhall now, but when they won their last title, they didn't have a super stud #1 back

As far as NFL draft what proof is there that it is trending that way?
The 2011 draft?
Strong evidence there, counselor
The league has been RBBC for sometime. A lot if those teams feature 1st Rd RBs

normally, i would simply say sfp is a Douche Bag, but i agree with both of you....partially.
i hate trading future picks, you are never sure with free agency, or injuries, what your situation will be the next year. also, rb's generally can be found later.
however, two things are apparent by the move to draft ingram: the front ofc knows the super bowl window is open now, and they want to do everything they can right away. and this front ofc has been one of the best in the league regarding scouting. they have hit much more than they have missed. i think the front ofc has earned everyone's trust.
so everyone chill the f out.

they can be found later, but they are still being taken early.
Just because one is happening, doesnt mean the other cant happen.
There really is no argument here.
