Are there any Carr-truthers left?... I'm not trying to gloat, just genuinely curious.

I mean he is here, we are stuck with him, so yeah - I want him to be successful. why would anyone not want him to work out for us? if he is good, the team is better off.

I was willing to give him the benefit of the dought having
played for the worst organization in the NFL in the Raiders.
Having said that there is now a obivious reason they got
rid of him.His redzone ability is horrible and he does not
bring confidence to the huddle ,just the opposite, and now
his teammates are turning on him because he points fingers.
Thats the worst leadership I`ve seen since Arron Brooks.
The Saints are in bigtime trouble. These front office moves
the last 2 years have Crippled this franchise.

You are the worst.. Enjoy your moral high ground. You are such a true and loyal fan, keep pumping sunshine!!

I’ll continue to be the arse hole if that means a few people realize how bad of a hire this was. The contract we gave this bum is unacceptable and I’ve been screaming it since day one.

Loomis gets away with this shite cause of fans like you

im not defending anything - it is what we were dealt by FO. me bitching or not doesn't change the fact he is here, and we should hope he improves. if he plays better, the team is better.

if my hope for him to improve makes me the worst, man you have a weird view on things.

whether I agree with the contract vs what we have got or not is immaterial - the FO could give to shits. I just don't sit around on message boards bitching about things i have no control over.

Oh, the lil guys are around.

They're just saying they're a bigger fan than you now because you can't be honest about this team or its players.

4 months ago they were telling you that you didn't know football if you told them Derek Carr was arse and there wouldn't be much difference - if any - with him on the field. Or that the Saints weren't the runaway best team in the NFCS, or that Jamaal Williams wasn't shite, or...you get the point. Who doesn't know football now?

This is why I let my children believe in Santa Claus. There are grown arse men with 10 years of exposure to Derek Carrbage that still believe in him.

I disagree man. I think the fans' opinions and support are important to a franchise. There is no doubt that the success of the football team has a socioeconomic impact on the city and the state. Not to mention the amount of money and time fans waste on their team. I think its ok to voice your opinion (which is the point of a message board) for a GM who is clearly not taking his job very serious. I get that you're an average who dat jersey wearing face painter who doesn't pay attention to football outside of new orleans. But anyone with a brain (much less someone who is paid to do this) would never pay Carr $150 million dollars. But keep on back peddling Thracken. You went from a blind sunshine pumper to "no reason to have an opinion".

I am not saying our opinions are not important, what I am saying is the FO rarely listens to or cares. did I sunshine pump the Carr signing? to extent i likely did - but no more so than I did us signing Dalton or Jameis.

whether I agree or not with any contract is just my opinion. I can state it here, or i can state it 75 times and the result is still the same - we are nobodies on a message board that likely noone with the organization reads, much less cares about.

stating the same thing over an over again doesn't do anything at all except make myself feel superior - when in actuality i'm like all the rest of you - a meaningless fan on a message board.

yes I was wrong on Carr, just like i was on Dalton and Jameis - doesn't mean I wasn't happy we got them - like i said, any person we sign i root for them to be the best they can be because that just means we have overall success. im willing to admit i was wrong, but as I said - I hope he improves because it means success for the team as a whole.

Why would anyone care if you are an a-hole on a random message board? It doesn't impact anyone else but yourself.

Buddy of mine, big Bama fan, hated the Saban hire way back in the day. For years was tortured while Saban kept winning championships, he just couldn't enjoy it b/c he had to be right. Now he's finally enjoying himself as a Bama fan and tells us how he was "right" all along. Some people are just weird.

ETA: People can't accept that nobody posting here is Loomis or Gayle and have no say-so in what happens with the team. They can't accept it's just a football game, not our employer, and we can root for them even when they suck. Good thing is, we have a choice to do it or not to do it.

I am not defeated at all, I'm all for discussion, and laughing and talking shite about sports - but just saying the same statements over and over again is not talking shite - it is a form of trolling.

I think more of us would be willing to engage in actual discussions with you, Victory and others - but it is pointless because you guys do not want to have actual discussions - you just want to troll, and when someone tries to offer counter points, you guys would rather be dicks - and hey, nothing wrong with that. that is the beauty of anonymity on a message board.

you do you man, i congratulate you on "winning" and me bowing out of this thread. nothing i say will matter, nothing i say will change your view on anything - it is what it is.

Pretty sure I don't have to worry about this.

Can't you just accept that us lowly common folk like talking about sports on a sports message board. Crazy concept I know!!

I've made quite a few different points/threads on the Carr hire. I've talked about his lack of accomplishments, how severely overpaid he is, was one of the first to point out how bad of a redzone qb he is, how terrible he is mechanics wise and non-cerebral he is. Yea I've trolled a little here and there but thats mostly because when you go against the pop-opinion on a message board you are constantly getting shite on. Sorry for being a meany-head yall, its all in good fun!!!

I remember when it was first rumored that Carr was linked to the Saints, there were people on both sides of the aisle. And it made for some great debates/conversations. Then the personal attacks started coming from both sides (not saying from you as I really don't pay attention to names when I post), and it really took the excitement out of it.

I was one of those "sunshine pumpers" that thought he would be a good fit because McDaniels is such a bad HC. But, even leading up to the season, before it was painfully obvious that Carr was part of the problem in Oak/LV, the good-natured trolling turned into adolescent bickering that turned off a lot of regular posters from coming in and being part of the conversations/debates. I'll reiterate, not saying you are one of them, because I really do not pay attention to names and rarely look to see who I'm replying to.
