Gotta make up for the money they collected towards 2 home playoff games, since we ended up only having 1 playoff game at home. That extra money goes towards this years tockets. They are upping it so they still get their nut. Bastards

I only paid for one. Most people only paid for one. Prices would have went up regardless.

Want cheap tickets, cheer for the team to fail and bottom out like Cleveland/Jacksonville. Then you can go back to your $500 lower level tickets.
Say brah, if you think I'm complaining about the price escalation, you got the wrong brotha.

I'm happy the Saints have been relevant since '06.

I sell enough of my tickets* to make the overall cost a Zero Sum proposition.

*two to three games, I'm out of town for during the season

Why did some people have to buy both?

I believe they gave you the option to pay for both games up front or pay for play (pay only the games that the saints play in).

Pay if play option. In the past you had to buy 2 games well before the playoffs were even determined. If they were close to a playoff berth when the NFL said to send out notices you had to either buy or pass on the entire package. This time the second playoff game ticket possibility (NFC championship ) was only charged if the game took place.
