If only SP had done a good enough job to keep the Rams from getting there, right?

He did. Hence being "robbed". That's what robbed means.

Ohhh. You must be talking about when they got the big pass play, 1st and 10 from the 13 with 1:55 left, and only burned 14 seconds off the clock before kicking off

yes. That put them in a position to where on 3rd, they burned the defense to a point where the defender admitted a desperation play to save a TD. A play which should have, by all rules and standards, given a fresh set of downs therefore..running the time down.

Surely you realize that running the ball 3 times after the big pass, would've run the clock down far enough that the rams (likely) wouldn't have gotten into FG range.

It took them 1 min 22 seconds IIRC to get closer enough to kick a long FG

YES, the no call was terrible. That crew was laughable all game and should be fired. But the saints could've won by running the ball.

None of that matters.

The saints did all that and STILL should have had a 1st down as far as the rules go. May have even scored a td on the series.

Hindsight is easy and can be used when there is no outside interference

Maybe he should have coached better and he would have been in the game

What you have are opinions on what the coach should have done. I'm going by the facts of how the rules are laid out.

No idgaf what he did. I'm giving you the facts of what would've happened had he been a better coach when it mattered most, in the final NFC title game of his career.

Manu Ginobili has one of the most punchable faces I've ever ever.

Of course this may be influenced by the fact that he looks so similar to a supervisor I used to work with who was a huge dick.

If the Saints would have run the ball 3 times, the Rams would have gotten the ball back with a minute to 55 seconds left. That would have still been plenty of time to get in FG range for their kicker.
