Payton ran 4 plays and only ran 17 seconds off the clock AND left the Rams with 1:41 and a TO and came away with exactly the same result as if he had left them with :30 and zero timeouts.

Just because I disagree with the call doesn’t mean I’m wrong or you’re right. It’s a difference of opinion. It didn’t work. It gave the Rams a free time-out. Plain and simple. Didn’t lose us the game - that was a culmination of things - but the right call could’ve finished it.
