Interesting, the only available number for Dekker in #7. He aint touching #8 or #9.
I don't think QB's can wear numbers higher than the teens or 20's. Maybe all that changed.

Dekkers has been known for awhile once the UFL season ended
you can always have competition at K especially since Smyth is still unproven

Curious if this could be in relation to moving Rattler
We still have Z Wilson right? I mean I would probably feel better having Rattler as QB2 just in case unless we could get a great price for him, although I suspect that's unlikely.

Yes Wilson is still on the roster.
Having competition for the #2 spot is never a bad thing. Having said that I'm not sure Dekker is real competition or someone who knows the system and can be a decent camp arm.
I would not hesitate in the least to have Wilson as the #2. Neither Wilson or Rattler are going to save your season if Shough goes down but Wilson has quality experience and at least produced in college so the talent is there but he's never been able to make the transition to the NFL work out. Rattler seems to be what he was in college.

We have no clear cut back up QB and may not have a comfortable option going into the season. Hopefully we won’t have to find out if we have a competent #2 for any length of time.

I imagine Dekkers is gonna be on the PS just like last season. They released him so he could go to UFL and get that experience with an understanding that he would be brought back once the ufl season was done.
