I assume that the number in parenthesis is their previous ranking.
1. C Erik McCoy (1)
McCoy played well in his first start, keeping the pocket clean and moving easily to the second level.
2. LB Kaden Elliss (6)
Elliss led the defense and special teams units in snaps played, tracking the ball well and making several tackles.
3. RS Deonte Harris (13)
Harris came on strong after missing time in practice. He's clearly a great athlete in the return game.
4. WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey (12)
Humphrey was another gamer who had his best moments under the lights. He scored a big touchdown and showed off some great agility after the catch.
4. FS Saquan Hampton (2)
Hampton ran exclusively with the first-team defense when they rolled out a three-safety package.
5. RB Devine Ozigbo (4)
He's clearly the fourth runner on the depth chart, but Ozigbo showed some nice moves in a few opportunities.
7. DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson (5)
He ran mostly with the second- and third-string defense, but Gardner-Johnson also showed up with some big hits on special teams.
8. LB Porter Gustin (8)
Gustin played often with the third-team defense, but didn't make much of an impression as a pass rusher.
Tied-9. DT Shy Tuttle (9), DE Corbin Kaufusi (9), OT Derrick Kelly (13)
Each of these players appeared sporadically, but none of them particularly stood out.
Tied-12. 12. WR Emmanuel Butler (3), TE Alize Mack (7), OG Ethan Greenidge (13)
Didn't play.
15. LS Nick Moore (13)
If not for an experienced kicker-holder duo in Wil Lutz and Thomas Morstead, some high snaps from Moore could have been disastrous.

WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey (12)
That touchdown made me excited with what he did in college.
I guess sometimes speed is overrated.

Its funny how we all drool or condemn guys over their 40 times but those numbers are under ideal circumstances.
Straight line, not battling any coverage, no pads, full stride without holding a football.
But 40 yard speed isn't "football speed". a guy may not be all that fast but can he shed coverage, run clean routes, play the ball, break tackles?

I only disagree in that I think Harris and Ozigbo should be switched.
While it was good to see a decent kick returner, I think Cyril Grayson Jr. did just as well and he made a great catch on offense. I’d take Grayson’s versatility over Harris at this point.
He may be behind Washington and J. Rodgers, but he outplayed both of them. I give Rodgers a little of a pass because we signed him a few days ago. But we know what Washington is and after the first preseason game, Ozigbo looks way better than him. His balance and tough running remind me a little of Khiry Robinson.

any news on why he didn't play? he has been all the rage in camp, and then he doesn't get a snap in game 1... just wondering why that is, especially when it wasn't like our WRs were killing it....

Gardner Johnson also ran down that long run after he slipped. He showed some good speed there.

Injury. Then he came back to practice right before the game and dressed out but they decided to hold him out. Says hes back to 100% now so we can keep the hype train rolling!

yeah, it's definitely in full force with this guy.... let's hope he's worth every bit of it... if we could land 2 good WRs from the UDFA pick ups this year, it would be a very good thing...
i ain't giving up on Tre'quan just yet, but let's just say, he's got a lot of improving that he needs to do... if one of the Humphrey or Butler can become the guy we thought Smith would develop into, then great...

I watched him a lot on defense. He made a great play on the goal line, but otherwise he was always running up to the play after it happened. However, he was playing that Jarius Byrd 20 yard deep type safety that Allen does sometimes, so he was already out of the play.
