I love the pick, and Im not just saying this because he's a Gator. He was the leader of our secondary this past season, kid can play and he brings an infectious attitude with him on the field. Which is something we need imo, a defender to set the tone.
Davis and him will definitely "set the tone".
I hope he can come in and contribute in a positive manner right away. I imagine he will play a good bit considering Coleman was actually playing a lot last year.

I wouldnt be surprised if he's cracking the lineup by mid season or so

He honestly wasn't. I think when I factored it out we played 3 safeties on about 8% of the snaps.
Williams played about 93%, Bell 73%, and Coleman 35%. Banjo and another guy that played FS accounted for about 7% of the snaps, making up for the snaps Williams missed.
That means Bell and Coleman were on the field together for about 8% of snaps.
Most of Coleman’s snaps came earlier in the year when he was in for Bell a lot, but by the end of the year a Coleman appearance was scarce. That's because of a combo of Coleman being a non factor/being a negative and Bell starting to really come into his own.
But none of Williams, Bell, nor Coleman could play the slot well. Gardner-Johnson is a lot more like Vaccaro in that way where he has tons of college experience in the nickel or in the box vs. playing deep. So if PRob is still out and PJ struggles I could see them giving the rookie more play.

Our new pick should be killer in the film room. I hear he likes to watch.
