That’s true and all, but you can’t deny some of that is due to how dink and dunk our offense was. I mean look at MT’s YPC compared to other WRs with similar yardage.

As much as I loathe Dennis Allen from time to time, he closed out a lot of games for us in the last few years, especially when the offense was not doing anything worth a shite.

Not sure why you got so many downvotes. The saints are a complete team but there is nothing explosive or scary about our offense at this point. It is always going to be a grind against even adequate defenses. That’s not saying the team can’t have some success, but our margin for error is much smaller than teams capable of picking up large chunks of yardage through the air consistently.

No doubt our offence is less potent than in years past. I think the main two contributors are Drew's age and the fact that our offence is well over 10 years old.

But considering it was a first game and against a very good front seven I have hope for better returns on the offensive side in upcoming games.

There may be a chance to see more of the young guys perform in the next few weeks.

We’ve won 78% of our games the past 3+ seasons and here you are cracking the code to beating the saints
There is a lot of "duh" to this statement, but the overall trend of the offense at times is worrisome. They can't be perfect all the time, but the way some of the calls are made it really scratches your head when Kamara is the only back in the game and Drew always looks for him in the flat. The league has that covered now.

It's time to work Alvin inside with handoffs and check downs. Also, we have this Sanders guy we spent money on and this dynamic QB/RB dude that trucks everyone. Maybe play them more?

4th in points scored in 2017

You’re on to something baw

Our fans harp on the 22% of the games we lose and lose sight of the 78% of the games we win. News flash- Other teams are allowed to successfully game plan for us and be better on a particular day. It’s hard to win in the NFL. Our fans are spoiled (and stupid)

The saints offense played bad and the saints still scored 34 points. The game wasn’t that close. When the Bucs cut it to 7 in the third I got a little worried but then the saints put their foot on the gas pedal one more time. Don’t expect this as the norm, even though the saints have a lot of continuity on their roster, we still did not have OTAs, Training camp and preseason just like everyone else. We can start slow without y’all freaking out. Kamara averaged one yard per rush. Thomas had three catches. Brees looked horrible. If it’s week 3 and it’s still like thIs then I’d worry. Saints just have too many weapons to not be explosive. Kamara, Thomas, Cook, Murray, Sanders. But we also have our gadget play players in Hill, Harris, and Ty Montgomery who had one touch the whole game. CSP said that it was one of his worst play calling games ever and the saints just couldn’t find rhythm. The defense usually starts off slow and they played well other than those pass interference calls. Jenkins isn’t a crowd favorite on here, but having him, Davis, and Jordan at each level of the defense gives the saints very good leaders on the field. Damn they new if we got Clowney on defense we’d be too elite. We need Davenport or rankins or someone to become that second great pass rusher. My only problem with this time is trying to justify Andrus Peat’s huge contract. He has still failed to impress me.
