re: Saints: No refunds, if you don't want to get vaccinated, sell your tickets on SeatGeek

It’s ridiculous the Saints are taking their current stance, and to me it’s a strong indication they don’t actually have a waiting list of people who will buy the tickets given back and they need the cash
no doubt, they have blown thru fans that want to pay big money for tickets with their BS over the past couple of years. then with brees being gone they have to be frightened of the prospect of a qb that cant throw and another qb that throws to the other team as starting QB.

All stats are lies unless they prove what I want them to prove!!

I think a class action makes a lot of sense.

last year everyone said they were boycotting the Saints because of what Drew Brees did when he “bent the knee” but they all watched anyway.
Quit bitching, y’all know you will go or watch.
If that's the case then what's the harm in offering refunds?

Are you presenting your hepatitis B papers to get into a government owned facility dipshit?
Does your kid have to show proof of meningitis vaccine to get into college? Do you think you antivaxxers causing the worst surge since the pandemic started has anything to do with the fact that we are having to do these things?

Can you explain your logic in this one? Your statement implies that only unvaccinated people are getting and spreading COIVD right now, which is comically false.
And I'm vaccinated, so spare me whatever ridiculous insult you were going to try.

Unvaccinated people are the ones dying and filling the hospital, which has been the entire point of everything from masking to social distancing to vaccine mandates. If enough of the population were vaccinated right now and just sitting at home with their aches and fevers and cough when they caught COVID then it wouldn't be as much of a deal to have a handful of people who are unvaccinated and die (just like the flu). That's the end game and it looked like we would reach it this fall once the vaccine came out, but no one realized that a huge portion of the country would rather listen to political commentators and facebook articles instead of medical professionals. Hence, here we are. Again.

I’m not going because of the cluster F, getting in, then dealing with the mask police. It’s bad enough just getting thru security

You have a lot of nerve saying resistance to vaccine is political given the vaccination rates among minorities.

Sure, there are other factors that affect other groups' decision on whether or not to vaccinate. The political/misinformation one is just the most frustrating one for me personally and I'm sure most other physicians so it's the one I tend to harp on. It's also the one that personally affects me since it's what I see in some of my family and friends even after I try to talk to them.

And I'm sure that isn't fueled by your own personal politics at all...

In other aspects of life, sure. When it comes to the COVID vaccine, no. There is nothing political about it for me nor should there be. I'm interested in what's best for public health and what's gonna get our society back to normal so we don't have to keep going back and forth with all the crazy restrictions. I don't want to wear a mask 12 hours a day at work. I don't wanna go into a mostly empty sporting event and wear a mask or sit far apart. I just want this shite to be over with and get back to normal.

Except that's the first place you went to place blame. You're only backtracking now because I called you on it. At least be honest with yourself.

I literally explained that it's personal for me and also the most frustrating for me and a lot of other physicians around here, plenty of whom are republican, since we hear so much of it from our families, friends, and patients. This is now the second thread where you just try to twist or ignore things I say.

You only did that after I called you out for acting like only one political group isn't getting vaccinated. I didn't twist anything. Your words are right up above.

doctors can't tell you any real life implications of the vaccines any more than a potato could.

We should be regardless of the % of people vaccinated, case numbers, or whichever metric they are using to scare the public into submission.
