With Boyd and Ridgeway in the wings it could make sense to move on and get younger and (lighter in the contract) with one or both Saunders and Shepherd.
Sheperd has a dead hit in 2025 of 5.8 in the last yr of his contract. And he also has a dummy yr in 2026 with a hit of 4 mil. He won't be on the roster after this yr and they will still owe him 10 mil.
He wasn't worth anywhere close to 3/15. I'll admit I thought he looked good with the jets.
